Description:
Complete denture therapy is fast becoming a "Lost Art" in dentistry. Many dental schools are decreasing
or even eliminating clinical requirements for this important service. Although patients are keeping more
teeth and keeping them longer, Complete Denture therapy will remain an extremely important service for the
foreseeable future.
This course will explore some of the reasons why dentists become frustrated with complete denture therapy
and present suggestions on how to overcome these challenges. Areas of focus will be: communication
throughout the dental team, patient education issues and methods to minimize post-insertion adjustments,
including occlusal records.
Rehabilitation of the fully edentulous patient can be a challenging and rewarding part of your dental
practice. Some hand-out information will be provided.
